As is often the case with my writing, I ran up against and then past deadline. Which is why, this week, you get two restaurant dishes in a row.
Yesterday was restaurant news and now we’ve got a host of upcoming restaurant events.
This weekend there’s Shoctoberfest, a "Bavarian-style festival" on Saturday and then the Innsbrook Beer Wine & Food Fest, which is fairly self explanatory, on Sunday.
As the weekend is winding down, you can always indulge in a few Sunday evening dining specials, like Metro Grill Dining Specials, Europa Dining Specials and Date Night at Verbena; you can see them all here.
And the dining events start all over again as soon as the next week kicks off.
There’s 3 for $30 at Lemaire (every night of the week) or, if that’s too pricey, you can come late-night for 3 for $20 also at Lemaire, followed by Havana '59 Dining Specials, Curbside Grill Dining Specials and Cheap Date Night at Avenue 805. The brand new TJ's is even hosting a Clos Pegase Wine Dinner on Thursday.
There are even regular dining specials that happen all the time, like Prime Lunch for $25 per person and Steak & Seafood dinner for $49.99 per person at Morton's, The Steakhouse.
You can see all the dining specials here.
And it all gets us to the big, bad, granddaddy of Richmond food events, Restaurant Week. It’s simply the best holiday in Richmond all year long and it starts Monday, Oct. 26. You can read all about it, from menus and participating restaurants to buzz from the Twitterverse in our Restaurant Week Guide.
Restaurant owners, do you have an event coming up that I failed to mention? Shoot me an email at kpeifer@richmond.com and I’ll tell you how easy it is to get it on our calendar. Or, anyone else, if you have any restaurant news to dish, drop me a line.
And if you’re not following me on Twitter @KarriPeifer you’re missing all kinds of dining news and updates, not to mention my hilarious tweets.
