• According to the people at the Plaza Bowl, this Friday night's show may just be their biggest ever. Shonen Knife, Hex Machine, Hot Lava and Brotherhood of the Jeff will perform. Tiffany Cale says "Shonen Knife is an all-girl pop/punk band from Japan. Kurt Cobain made them famous by taking them on tour and publically stating they were his favorite band on multiple occasions. They produced the theme song and movie soundtrack for the Powerpuff Girls television show and were most recently in the news for losing their drummer in an accident while on tour."
